Pewter covered bowl from Paris? Lisieux? - 18th century. The lid is finely decorated with a lace-like pattern (shells, flowers, and bouquets) (see photos). Dolphin-shaped knob. Console-shaped handles with a ribboned border and palmette decoration. No hallmarks. Parisian-style decoration, Lisieux dolphin, origin to be confirmed. The bowl has undergone old repairs (filled holes in the lid = decoration partially erased). Width including handles: 26 cm, Diameter: 17 cm
