Large German pewter tankard, early 19th century, dated 1825. Cylindrical barrel, flat base, flat covering lid, nippled ball thumb rest. Decorated with 2 peripheral rings. With the owner's initials: JHW. Dated 1825. Double hallmarked with a standing man and the letters DHT (to be identified). Second hallmark with a double-headed eagle. Good condition apart from a small lateral crack (see photo). Height 28 cm, with the thumb rest 33 cm.
