Large German pewter tankard, early 19th century, dated 1817. Cylindrical barrel, flat base, flat covering lid, nippled ball thumb rest. Decorated handle. Decorated with 2 peripheral rushes. In the name of the owner: HJ THORN. Dated 1817. Double hallmarked, difficult to read (to be identified). Second hallmark of a crowned double-headed eagle. Good condition. Height 28 cm, with the thumb rest 33 cm.
