"Bronze Apothecary Crucible - 18th Century"
Bronze Apothecary Tripod Crucible - 18th century. Bronze tripod crucible. The wooden handle is recent. Trace of casting on the bottom: End-of-cast umbilicus. The cupped legs are in the shape of a "clover". It was made by "JJ", initials affixed to the socket. In good condition: note a small crack on the bowl. (See photo). Diameter 17 cm, height 10.5 cm, length 36 cm
