Saint Clement Earthenware Holy Water Font
Saint-Clément Faience Holy Water Font - Early 19th Century. This font is characteristic of Saint-Clément, featuring a wide basin attached to the back panel along its entire width, a nipple-shaped basin, molded at the top and bottom, and a smooth central section without vertical fluting. The titulus is tilted towards Christ's left hand; in Lunéville, it is tilted towards his right. See photos in the reference book. The polychrome decoration is in perfect condition. It has one tiny crack (left arm), two painted chips to the right of the cross, and one small chip in the glaze on the basin. Height 20.8 cm
