Monogrammed fruit basket in braided iron wire, late 19th - early 20th century. Folk art. Vosges work from the Plombières-les-Bains region. Was also produced in the Xertigny area. This work was carried out in small family workshops by the fire in winter after the field work was finished. This copy is monogrammed with the letters MD. It shows traces of oxidation (rust). Presence of 2 handles for transport. Decorated with 46 tassels. Remarkably fine work. Rare in this state of preservation. I present 2 different baskets in my gallery.
