Epinal plate with a rooster on a fence - Early 19th century. A high-fired plate with a wavy rim, a characteristic Epinal decoration. Decorated with a rooster on a fence resting on a grassy mound. The rim is decorated with three bouquets. A similar plate is reproduced in the reference book. Good condition. Note two small chips visible from the back and significant crazing (see photos). No cracks, no repairs. Diameter 23.2 cm
