18th Century Epinal Dish
Epinal earthenware dish, 18th century. Dish with the characteristic shape and colors of Epinal. Architectural decoration that has been the subject of studies and publications: see photos in reference books. Numerous crazing marks on the front and back. A crack from the clay shrinking during drying (common on large pieces) has been filled/repaired. It is not a crack or a crack (not through), and is located at 9 o'clock. Good condition, no chips, no repairs other than those reported. Length 33.5 cm, height 25 cm
