Wrought iron hearth rack - Late 17th - Early 18th century Rack composed of 2 simple inverted racks which frame the sliding. Originality of the object. Decorated in the upper part with a circular figure underlined by 2 crescents. The "S" adjustment hook is decorated with 2 hearts The fixing ring is fixed (blocked by oxidation), inserted in a folded flat iron The suspension hook ends with 2 slightly folded lips The whole is assembled only by hot forging (no rivets except as an axis for the adjustment hook). Its weight is 3.6 kg Its closed height is 113 cm. Open to the last notch, its deployed height is 155 cm
