Saint Clement Earthenware Holy Water Font
Saint-Clément Faience Holy Water Font - Early 19th Century. This font is characteristic of Saint-Clément, featuring a wide basin attached to the back panel along its entire width, a bossed basin, molded at the top and bottom, and a smooth central section without vertical fluting. The titulus is tilted towards Christ's left hand, whereas in Lunéville it is tilted towards his right. (See photos in the reference book.) The polychrome decoration is in perfect condition. No cracks or restoration. There are four small chips on the hands, one on the basin, and one on the boss (see photos). Height 20 cm
