Cane Armchairs

A molded, carved, and lacquered beechwood chair with a flat back and shaped crossbars, the curved armrests resting on recessed supports, and cabriole, scrolled legs. The seat is attractively decorated with leaves and shells. The lacquer is largely original. 18th-century work, Louis XV period. Height: 89.5 cm / Width: 64 cm / Depth: 48.7 cm (small chip to the scroll of one rear leg / some pitting / rear crossbar of the caned seat frame needs attention). A "natural" armchair, in used condition, without splices or breaks, "needs restoration".
