Mid-century Vintage Italian Ceramic Salad Bowl Or Bowl With Scale Pattern
A very rare and beautiful decorative terracotta salad bowl or bowl, unsigned, vintage Italian production from the 1950s-1960s. In a very mid-century style. Circular in shape, resting on a short foot. The exterior is decorated with an incised scale pattern, enhanced by a deep ochre-yellow glaze highlighted with nuanced greens in the incisions and the striated rims at the top and bottom. The interior is glazed white with a radiating pattern of geometric incisions, centered around an ochre and striated green core. Approximately 11 cm high and 22 cm in diameter. In very good condition, with only a few small, discreet chips or slight imperfections in the original glaze, no major cracks or chips, consistent with its use. Approximately 1.3-1.5 kg.
