Florence 1853 – 1922
A student of M. Gordigiani in Florence, he made his debut at the 1872 Exhibition of the Society of Fine Arts with a genre subject, a genre he continued to pursue for the rest of his career, employing a meticulously crafted veristic technique in the depiction of interiors and figures (The Chimney Sweep's Feast, private collection). Also a painter of landscapes and still lifes, he actively participated in exhibitions. In 1900, he sent II complotto to the Universal Exhibition in Paris. He died in Florence in May 1922.
