"Puiforcat : Set Of 6 Sterling Silver Vermeil Mocha Spoons, Fer De Lance Pattern"
Superb solid silver Moka service from the Renaissance period, in the "Fer de Lance" pattern by Puiforcat. The service comprises six spoons with vermeil (gold-on-silver) bowls. Hallmarked with the French Minerva 1st Standard mark (.950) and the hallmarks of the master silversmith Emile Puiforcat (hallmark with the initials "EP" and a penknife), registered in 1857. This superb service, in the rare "Fer de Lance" pattern, is in good overall condition with minor scratches from use.
This pattern is listed in David Allan's reference work on the finest French silverware of the 19th century. Length: 10.4 cm.
