Freemason's Box, Painted Sheet Metal, 19th Century
Artist: Ateliers Parisiens
Tinplate box with a domed, lockable lid. It is painted burgundy and black, decorated with gold trim, and features a large gilded Masonic emblem on lid. Inside is painted blue-green, with a tinned base.
As you can see (photos), the Masonic decoration is worn and incomplete, but enough structural elements remain to allow for its reconstruction.
It is in fairly good condition and opens and closes normally with its charming little key. I believe this is a rather rare box. Dimensions: 22 cm x 9 cm x 8 cm. Weight: 400 g.
This lot is available for immediate purchase, payable by credit card or PayPal.
- eclectic – We are not experts, but we have been in the business for over 50 years.
No-hassle refunds in case of disappointment.
