Pieter Van Mol (1906-1988) was a Belgian painter and watercolorist of landscapes, seascapes, portraits, and figures. He studied under Willem Rosier and Gustave Van De Woestyne at the Academy of Mechelen and under the sculptor Gustaaf Fontaine at the Academy of Saint-Josse-ten-Noode. He then traveled throughout France and settled in Arles in the South. After 1960, he was living in Salzburg. His Fauvist-Impressionist brushstrokes and colors are characteristic. He died in Heidelberg in 1988. His works are in the Musée d'Arles. Artist listed in the Bénézit, Arto, and Piron (Dictionaries of Belgian Painters). Listed on Artprice, Artnet, etc.
