Maurice Leclercq, 1919-2014, Belgian painter, draughtsman, and watercolorist born in Tournai. He began as a self-taught artist before receiving formal training at the "L'Effort" Free Academy and the Molenbeek-Saint-Jean Academy, where he won First Prize for Painting. He took over Maurice Minsart's studio in Brussels after the latter's death. Initially drawn to Impressionism, he developed his own style, eventually moving towards abstraction. Artist listed in Bénézit, Arto, and Piron. Also listed on Artprice, Artnet, Akoun, etc.
