Raymond Gelper, known as Mon, was a Belgian painter born in Antwerp in 1930. He studied at the Royal Academy of Antwerp from 1946 to 1951. Until 1964, he worked in an Impressionist style before moving towards abstraction. From 1977 onwards, he expressed himself in a Surrealist style in which women and eroticism play a significant role. His work is listed in the Bénézit, Arto, and Piron art directories. Listed on Artprice, Artnet, Akoun, etc...
This paper, mounted on panel, has visible losses on the far right which will disappear once framed (see photos).
The painting, never cleaned, not dirty, is in good condition, neither repainted nor repaired, nothing shows up under UV light. Painting in good condition.
