A porcelain tea service (Manufacture Impériale de Sèvres) with a green ground enhanced by fine gilding, comprising a teapot, a sugar bowl, a milk jug, a cup and saucer, and a large matching tray. Each piece is adorned with a hand-painted medallion depicting: Napoleon I in imperial uniform; Josephine de Beauharnais, Empress; Marie-Louise of Austria, the Emperor's second wife; and various female portraits of imperial inspiration. The decoration, of remarkable refinement, blends meticulously executed portraits, gilded foliage, and gold-accented outlines. The tray features a central portrait of Napoleon, perfectly highlighted by the green hue and the Empire-inspired motifs. Set includes: 1 teapot with lid, 1 sugar bowl with lid, 1 milk jug, 1 cup and saucer, 1 matching rectangular tray. Features: Fine porcelain, hand-decorated, Empire green palette, fine gold gilding, delicate Sèvres paintings. Condition: Very good overall condition, some minor wear consistent with age.
