Porcelain Box Decorated With Cherubs, Early 20th Century
Elegant porcelain box in the composite style dating from the early 20th century (before the 1920s).
The decoration features a hand-painted medallion, signed by J. Missant, depicting two cupids holding an arrow and a quiver. The framing work is exceptionally delicate: a network of gold latticework in the shape of laurel leaves, as well as a frieze of foliage on a red background. Brass frame and clasp adorned with a decorative element. The mold number “5599” is legible beneath the piece.
