Relief Portrait Of A Woman In Wax, 19th Century

A wax portrait of a woman dressed in Renaissance style. The beeswax has been dyed to create a polychrome effect. The young woman is adorned with metallic beads and glass beads that make up her jewelry. 

The piece is framed under glass and features a gilded wooden frame in the shape of a tondo (note a crack and some flaking of the gilding).
