A very fine gilt bronze sword, described as having a diamond point, with double guards, an ovoid pommel, and a single quillon.
The pommel, knuckle guard, grip, and guards are edged with small, simulated silver diamonds.
The chasing adorning all parts is exceptionally fine and depicts military symbols, including those of generals from the Directory period.
The gilding is magnificent and exceptionally bright.
The large, triangular blade is 88 cm long with blued and gilt chased decoration, though slightly worn.
The cutler's mark is ISR.
Overall length 105 cm.
