Kepi Of The Sedentary Mobile Guard, 1870, Napoleon III Era
Kepi in blue, almost black, cloth with scarlet cord trim.
Black patent leather visor, brown satin lining.
As you can see in the photos, the kepi hung on a coat rack for a very long time, which has slightly deformed the back.
The sweatband is a little unstitched with a small tear visible in the photos.
A cardboard strip reinforcement to maintain the shape is still present.
This item is completely unrestored, having come directly from where it was hung.
