National Guard Troop Kepi 1870 Second Empire

A dark blue cloth enlisted man's kepi with scarlet wool braid trim, 4 mm wide.
It has a small, 3.5 cm square visor at the front, made of coated cardboard on top and sheepskin underneath (some missing pieces and scratches).
The interior is lined with brown satinette with cardboard reinforcement to maintain its shape.
It features a 24.5 mm silvered copper number 6.
The sweatband is made of fine sheepskin (damaged and repaired).

This kepi has a truncated conical shape; over time, the visor has become slightly deformed.
The cloth is in perfect condition, without any damage.
It measures 7 cm high at the front and 14 cm high at the back, following the curve.
