17th Century Westerwald Stoneware Pitcher With Pewter Lid (restored Handle)
Authentic 17th-century Westerwald salt-glazed stoneware pitcher, decorated in the characteristic shades of cobalt blue and gray. This pitcher features a rich decoration of applied circular motifs and an expressive mask on the neck. Its original hinged pewter lid adds to its value. The ergonomic handle and typical Westerwald style are perfectly in keeping with the period. The pewter lid bears a maker's mark on the inside.
