Antique painted chest enriched with vibrant floral decorations and ornamental motifs typical of Alpine craftsmanship from the early 19th century. The front features a rich arrangement of warm-toned flowers framed by drapery and decorative accents evocative of festive or matrimonial symbolism.
The original wrought-iron elements, finely shaped and chiseled, highlight the refined artisanal work, while the sides display abstract wave-like painting in green-blue tones, accompanied by period iron handles.
This chest embodies a centuries-old story of family traditions and cherished belongings, preserving the authentic charm of Alpine folk culture and its intimate connection with domestic heritage.
Restoration Information:Our workshop guarantees conservative restoration for each piece, respecting its integrity.
Each item is treated to ensure solidity and hygiene.
In particular, we perform:
- structural restoration
- accurate woodworm treatment
- cleaning and sanitization of the interior
- external finish with natural beeswax
- internal finish with shellac (natural alcohol-based varnish)
