An imposing Restoration period clock depicting Hercules in Bacchicum, wearing a vine wreath and holding a bunch of grapes, reclining on a lion skin. Made of griotte red marble, mercury-gilt bronze, and patinated bronze. Signed by the bronze sculptor PICARD inside a plaque (last photo). The clock's wire-driven movement has been serviced by a watchmaker and includes its pendulum, key, and a new small advance/slow key. Height 56 cm.
