"Alabaster Clock With Quarter-hour Striking Mechanism."
An alabaster clock from the first half of the 19th century. It is in its original, as-found condition, with repaired breaks on the head, wrist, and wings, rounded corners, and small chips on the front. One gilt bronze corner molding is missing from the front, and another from the left side. The dial is in perfect condition; the stem holding the bezel needs reattaching as the bezel is loose. The movement appears to be in good condition; the bell and key are present, but the pendulum is missing. A very pretty clock requiring some restoration!
