French Restoration Period Clock
Restoration period clock in gilded bronze, the movement with an enameled dial, signed merchant in Paris for JBMarchand watchmaker established in Paris from 1830 to 1850.
Accented to the dial is a winged cherub holding a bow in one hand and a butterfly in the other .
We also find a lyre, a basin and a quiver.
On the other side of the dial we observe a standing water trough decorated with two birds. This clock is beautifully crafted, double shiny and matte gilding, charming subject of very good quality.
Note, slight hair on the dial at the number 4.
