Light cavalry saber (Hussars and Chasseurs à Cheval). Model Year XI. Hundred Days, First Empire. Three-branch brass guard, long-tailed pommel with the assignment number "262". Wooden grip covered in calfskin with brass studs. Main guard branch with 3 hallmarks. Curved blade with fullers, engraved "Royal Mint of Klingenthal August 1814." Hallmarked at the ricasso "B" surmounted by a star for P. Bich, inspector in July 1813 then controller from December 1813 to September 1818. "B" within a laurel wreath for I.G. Bick, First Class Controller from 1812 to May 1815. "L" for F.L. Lobstiné, inspector from June 1804 to July 1821. Steel scabbard with two steel suspension rings (one with the same number as the guard "262"). Good condition, blade and scabbard in very good condition. Blade length 88.5 cm and overall length 106 cm. France. Hundred Days period; First Empire. (March 20 - July 8) 1815).
