Miniature portrait of a General officer, 1798. Round, 6.4 cm in diameter, presented under glass in a black waxed wooden frame with a gold molding (10.6 cm in diameter). It depicts a general officer in full dress uniform, wearing a dark blue cloth coat, scarlet collar with gold braid, scarlet facings, and white cloth facings. He is shown with his black felt bicorn hat with gold braid and a tricolor plume. In fairly good condition, with a 3 cm high crack. See photos. Period: Consulate/First Empire
