Cavalry pistol, Model An XIII. First Empire. Found in an attic. Barrel 20.4 cm long. Breechblock marked "Mle an 13", length including the breech tang 24 cm. Flintlock mechanism signed "Manufacture Impériale de Charleville". Walnut stock with short fore-end. All brass fittings stamped with the initial "T" within a wreath. Iron ramrod with a nail-head, replaced. Overall length of the pistol 35.5 cm. Caliber 18 mm. Pistol found in an attic. (Flint and screw not original to the model). Good condition of the mechanism (two notches). France. First Empire.
