Large Silver-plated Metal Centerpiece With A Louis XV Style 19th Century Count's Coat Of Arms.
Splendid large relief serving tray forming a centerpiece in silver-plated metal in the Louis XV style, rectangular in shape, scalloped and polylobed, and bordered with a sumptuous, rich decoration of vine tendrils and bunches of grapes, with very fine chasing and a magnificently executed relief decoration with two handles with lateral handles decorated with vine wood. The interior features a beautiful engraving decorated with shells, stylized acanthus leaves, bouquets of roses, foliage, and scrolls, along with various guilloché patterns in both matte and glossy finishes. The central cartouche displays the coat of arms of the Counts of Berry (see attached historical information) with a motto in a banner waving in the wind. Very beautiful and large dimensions: Length: 79 cm, Width: 50 cm, Height: 5 cm, Weight: 5/6 kg. Condition report: Very good overall condition with its beautiful period silvering. Note the typical micro-scratches on the interior shelf (antique shelf), and some minor wear on the inner rim. No dents, complete, with signs of use and age.
