"Allegory Of Labour, Bronze Sculpture By Ferdinand Luegerth (austrian 1885-1915)"
A classical bronze female figure holding a book and a laurel branch as an allegory of labor was created by the renowned Austrian sculptor Ferdinand Luegerth (1885-1915), who lived and worked in Vienna. Inscription: Signed on the base Ferd. Lugerth and marked "AR," by the famous Viennese foundry "Arthur Rubinstein"; bronze, dark brown patina. The base is inscribed in Latin "Labori Laurus!"
Technique: Bronze and patina.
Measurements: H. 56 cm, base 25.5 x 18 cm.
Condition: In good condition, a minimal trace of wear is visible where the left hand was articulated to the body, a few insignificant patina scratches on the back of the figure.
