Fine study of radishes was executed in the middle of 20th century in very close style to similar Öl studies of fruits and vegetables by Austrian still life painter Franz Xavier Wolf (1896-1989).
The artist studied in the Vienna and Munich Academy and during his years there traveled a lot in France, Italy, Denmark, England, Germany and in the Orient. The artist painted still lifes, landscapes and loved to genre scenes. Some of his genre works became very popular after major auction successes.
