This landscape representing a young woman holding flowers and a parasol, was executed in 1832 in Bordeaux by AIMÉ-HENRI-EDMOND SEWRIN-BASSOMPIERRE (1809-1896). Edmond Sewrin born in 1809 in Paris and died in 1896 in the same city at the age of 87. Pupil of Hersent and Destouches, he entered the École des Beaux-Arts on April 3, 1830. He exhibited at the Salon from 1832 to 1875, mainly oil or pastel portraits and obtained a third class medal in 1846 He regularly receives orders from the State for religious works or copies of 1831; churches of Caylus, Lorient, Landerneau, Briec. We also owe him many lithographs including a series on Bagnières de Bigorre.
