A rare set of six Directoire-era brandy cups or goblets in solid silver (950%). They are hallmarked with the Paris guarantee mark for the period 1798-1809. They also bear the hallmark known as the "first rooster" and the maker's mark of François Alexis Carron, a silversmith who was already active under the Ancien Régime from 1777. They are quite heavy for their size. Weight 200 grams.
