The spatulas are decorated with palmettes, scrolls, and florets. The stem, marked with two channels, features the same Empire-style decoration.
A large palmette motif joins the handles to the ends of each piece.
All ends are superbly engraved with fruits, flowers, foliage, acanthus leaves, etc. The spoon and spade are beautifully openwork.

Each piece is hallmarked:
. Minerva, 1st grade, before 1973 for 950/°° silver. Silversmith's mark: CB with a gaiter and a star for Charles Barrier, active from 1905 to 1923.
