Lucien Delrive (French, late 19th century), a large, signed enamel portrait of a lady, mounted on a cut and etched glass and ormolu casket.

Enamel: 11.5cm diameter
Box: 11.5cm high, 20cm (max) wide.
Note: Lucien Delrive (signed L Delrive) was an exceptional student of Alfred Mayer, who was responsible for reviving Limoges enameling techniques in the late 19th century. Delrive was the author of “Les Émaux De Limoges, a la portée de tous, par Lucien Delrive eléve d´Alfred Meyer” (Bourgeois Ainé, 1890).
Condition: Very good, apart from a crack in one of the 4 etched side panels of the box (see images)
