Ceramic incense burner with hand-painted and gilded decoration depicting Buddhist monks, musicians, and attendants. The figures, painted with great finesse, are surrounded by various objects and flowers. The base, spout, and lid of the container are adorned with various decorative friezes. At the top of the lid, a relief representation of a Fo dog (or shishi). Handles in the shape of Taiko drums.
