Art Nouveau bust in bisque. The artist depicted the delicate, naturalistic features of a young girl. The girl's flowing, luxuriant hair blends into the background to form a swirling ornament.

Affortunato Gory (?-1925) - studied in Florence at the Academy of Fine Arts under the famous Italian sculptor Augusto Rivalti. At the beginning of the 20th century, he moved to Paris and completed his studies with the French sculptor Victorien-Antoine Basset. He created sculptures in bronze, marble, bisque, and bone; he exhibited several times at the prestigious Salon des Artistes Français in Paris.
