Buddha, Bronze, Thailand, Rattanakosin, 18th-19th Century.
This gilt bronze sculpture depicts a Buddha or Buddhist monk. The Buddha is depicted in the lotus position, his hands performing the gesture of Bhumisparsha, that is, calling the earth to witness. In his left hand, he holds a container. He sits on an imposing three-tiered base, with an inscription at the base. The sculpture is partially filled with clay in the center and has a mount at the back.

Good condition, natural rubbing and loss of gilding.
