Pair Of Kacho-ga Vases, Japan, Meiji (1868-1912)
A pair of vases with representations of the kachō-ga type, or scenes with birds and flowers. On one of the vases, a bird with lush plumage (crest?) Is perched on a branch, the other shows a couple of pigeons (?). On the other side of the vases, we can see smaller birds (sparrows?) Hunting insects, next to which grow chrysanthemums, a flower that is an imperial symbol in Japan, symbolizing strength, dignity and longevity. . Ornately treated clouds are also shown.
