Hand-carved wooden brush pot inlaid with bone. It is decorated with plant motifs, including pomegranates. In the Far East, the pomegranate symbolizes fertility, abundance, and numerous offspring. It is a common motif in art, and objects depicting it are very popular wedding gifts.
