Lion - Candlestick, Earthenware, Saint Clément - Keller & Guérin, Late 19th Century.

Earthenware lion figure that can also be used as a candle holder. The proudly striding lion is made of hand-painted earthenware. At its feet is the coat of arms of Nancy with its motto "Non Inultus Premor".

Saint-Clément Manufacture - famous earthenware factory existing in Saint-Clément since 1758. Over time, it has produced objects of various styles and shapes, including services, vases, figurines and candle holders. In 1892, the Saint-Clément factory was bought by the Keller & Guérin company, which also owned a second earthenware factory in nearby Lunéville. It existed until 2022.
