Fukagawa - The company's history begins with Ezaiemon Fukagawa, who, in 1856, opened a factory in Arita Prefecture, which he named Koransha Company in 1875. At the 1900 Paris Exposition, it won a gold medal for a large flower vase. Artists working for the company include the designer Kinsaku Ide and the sculptor Toshi Ninomiya.
