""blue And White" Kakiemon Porcelain Bowl. Japan, Late 17th Century."
This small, simple bowl at first glance is of very high quality. The central decoration of bird, rock and flowers is carefully drawn. On the reverse, the scrolls represented are typical of the Kakiemon style, the combed decoration on the edge of the foot is in the Nabeshima style, it is worth noting the beautiful regularity of the teeth of the comb. It is difficult to attribute this small dish with absolute certainty but the quality would encourage attributing it to the Kakiemon kilns, although the Arita kilns sometimes made beautiful creations. Japan circa 1690-1720. Excellent condition. L: 19cm
