Superb Oshe Shango Yoruba, these dance scepters were used in ceremonies linked to the worship of the thunder god Shango. Very good condition, original polychromy, beautiful patina of use, the face is blackened unlike the back, probably the soot of the fire of the hut where it was stored! Quite rare in this quality and with its original colors. Former collection of a French geographer, collected on site in the 80s, estimated dating around 1940/50. Height 47 cm.
