"Large Bronze Vase Decorated With Archaic Motifs, China"
Elegant bronze vase with a globular body and flared neck, decorated with a raised frieze of Chinese characters and stylized motifs reminiscent of the Taotie masks of ancient ritual bronzes. The geometric and vegetal decoration underlines the archaic influences dear to Chinese art, while the warm patina of the metal highlights the finely worked reliefs. Chinese work from the 20th century, in the style of ancient bronzes from the Shang and Zhou dynasties. Dimensions: height 31 cm.
