Pair Of Cloisonné Vases – China, Early 20th Century

A beautiful pair of cloisonné vases on copper with polychrome floral decoration. The enamels are finely cloisonné and depict stylized floral compositions on a red background, framed by decorative friezes with scrolling foliage and flower motifs on a black background. This is traditional Chinese cloisonné work, a technique consisting of applying thin metal partitions to form the design, then filling them with colored enamels and polishing them after firing. The interior is enameled in a light blue hue characteristic of this type of production. Dimensions: Height: 15 cm
